The Cardinal District is one of seven districts that make up the Heart of Virginia Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The District includes all of Goochland county as well as the areas of Hanover and Henrico counties west of Interstate 95. The Cardinal District serves as home to 2400 Scouts and over 1200 leaders in 37 Cub Scout Packs, 38 Boy Scout Troops, and 7 Venture Crews.

Cub Scout and Boy Scout Roundtable meetings are held from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on the first Tuesday of each month at Virginia United Methodist Church Conference Center located at 10330 Staples Mill Road in Glen Allen next to the Crossridge Shopping Center. [Click here for map]

ADVANCEMENT

The latest version of the Eagle Scout Project Workbook has been issued and can be found under the Advancement - Life to Eagle Section. This version solves the font problem and allows attachment of photos and drawings.

The National Council has released the 2011 Guide to Advancement. This document has been posted and all Unit Leaders and Committee members are urged to review the document. To download a copy click on Advancement under the Main Menu, then click on Advancement Reports.

Two new checklists have been added to help the unit review the Eagle application and to help get ready for the Eagle Board of Review. Check it out.
